Mathieu Michel, the Belgian State Secretary for Digitization has launched Blockchain4Belgium, an initiative allowing local web3 actors to make recommendations to the government.

2️⃣ ConsenSys acquires Hal

ConsenSys, the company behind MetaMask, has acquired Hal, a platform that sifts through blockchain data and allows users to create notifications for trading, governance voting, and tax compliance.

3️⃣ OpenSea implements 0% fees

Major NFT marketplace OpenSea announced a massive structuring around lower platform fees and greater creator earnings as Blur continues to drain away its once dominant user base.

4️⃣ DeBank Cloud launches Web3 Marketing Service

DeBank Cloud officially released the brand new "Web3 Marketing Service", allowing marketers to talk to any 0x address directly.

5️⃣ Google Cloud joins Tezos

Google's cloud computing operator is set to become a validator on the Tezos network.

6️⃣ Ethereum Shapella upgrade is coming soon

Ethereum core developer Tim Beiko announced the Shapella upgrade is scheduled for February 28, on the Sepolia network. Goerli and Mainnet will come at a later date (TBD).
