1️⃣ The FTX saga

Unless you live under a rock, you already know, but it's impossible not to talk about the story of the week (that’s in an excellent position to become the story of the year): the collapse of FTX.

2️⃣ A trustless Ethereum light client

a16z crypto just announced Helios, a fully trustless, efficient, and portable Ethereum light client written in Rust. A great alternative to centralized RPCs like Alchemy and Infura.

3️⃣ Lenster announces DMs powered by XMTP

You can now DM other users on Lenster (a social media app built with Lens Protocol) and it’s powered by XMTP, an open protocol for secure web3 messaging.

4️⃣ Instagram to allow creators to mint and sell NFTs

Instagram said it will begin allowing creators to mint and sell NFTs directly from the social media platform. It will initially launch on Polygon, with the assets being stored on Arweave.

5️⃣ OpenSea launches an on-chain tool to enforce NFT royalties

OpenSea has taken a position in the NFT royalties debate, launching an on-chain tool helping creators enforce royalties. It will block transfers on some marketplaces, at the contract level.

6️⃣ Sorare introduces Global Cup ‘22

Just in time for the World Cup, Sorare just launched Global Cup '22, a completely new game dedicated to the most important sports competition in the world.
